Composer Edmund Choi studied composition with Justin Dello Joio and conducting with Vincent La Selva at The Juilliard School of Music. After graduating from New York University, he began his career as an assistant to composer Carter Burwell, working on such films as THE BIG LEBOWSKI, FARGO, ROB ROY, THE GOOFY MOVIE, THE HUDSUCKER PROXY, CONSPIRACY THEORY, IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU, KALIFORNIA, AND THE BAND PLAYED ON, THIS BOY'S LIFE, DOC HOLLYWOOD and BARTON FINK.


Choi's association with director M. Night Shyamalan led to collaborations on their first two features, PRAYING WITH ANGER and WIDE AWAKE. After completing WIDE AWAKE, the composer was signed to a multi-picture deal by Harvey Weinstein to write music for Miramax Films.


The composer has also written and conducted music for commercials for SONY, Computer Associates and General Mills. He is currently composing music for Season 1 of  THE HOLLOWMEN.
